About Us

Founder Morgan Goss, DO, created Dove Family Health to simplify healthcare for patients and employers.  After years of caring for patients under harsh time constraints and red tape, Dr. Goss recognized there had to be a better way. People matter. Her goal was to bring heart and compassion back to healthcare. Being introduced to Direct Primary Care during medical school, Dr. Goss opened Dove Family Health in 2017 in Rainsville. Since that time she has welcomed an incredible medical team to the Dove family. These medical professionals share the same heartfelt passion to serve this community as she does.


Meet Your Providers

Morgan Goss, D.O.

Dr. Morgan Goss is the founder of Dove Family Health. Her professional passion is to introduce thousands of Alabamians to Direct Primary Care. Dr. Morgan is the collaborating Physician for the Dove Albertville, Rainsville and Huntsville offices and makes regular visits but practices primarily from the Rainsville office.  Dr. Morgan is not currently accepting new patients.

Marla Byrum is a Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Alabama - Huntsville with clinical experience in Primary Care, Cardiovascular, women's health, pediatrics, dermatology and Geriatrics. Her professional passion is to holistically care for her Patient-Member's mind, spirit, and body, while optimizing wellness for both acute and chronic conditions.

Access to Your Provider:

During your first appointment, you will receive your Provider’s cell number for urgent after-hours needs.

Virtual visits available.  Many visits may be completed via telephone, text or video chat. 

Same Day or Next Day Office Visits:

If you prefer to come to the office, call for a same day or next day office visit.

Extended Time with your Provider:

We schedule one patient at a time.  Our patients are given up to one hour with their provider.  We want you to leave knowing you were able to discuss your health in detail and know that you were heard.


Little-to-No Wait Time:

Scheduling our patients one at a time means we do not have a waiting room full of waiting patients.  We schedule our patients when we are available.  We value your time.

Medications, Labs, Imaging:

With an inhouse dispensary, we offer substantial savings on most medications. 

Many of our medications cost less than five dollars per month and are ready before you leave the office. 

Partnering with local companies, we offer discount pricing on labs and imaging.

Monthly Membership

One-time Initial Enrollment Fee of $50.  Only one enrollment fee per family. No enrollment fee for employees of enrolled businesses.

What does Membership Cover?

The fee covers excellent primary care through unlimited visits, annual wellness exams, well-child exams, weight loss,

basic office procedures, treatment of acute illness, and treatment of minor injuries.

Maximum Monthly Membership per Family is $150.00.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my membership fee cover everything?

Your membership fee covers unlimited visits, minor procedures and access to your provider for afterhours urgent needs.  Medications, labs, imaging and procedure supplies are extra but are at a substantial discount. 


Will you bill my Insurance?

No.  Your monthly membership covers unlimited visits with no co-pays.  Your insurance will be useful if you need to see a specialist or require a hospital visit. 


Can I use my Flex Spending Account/HSA/HRA?

Yes!! FSAs and HRAs are acceptable. Thanks to an Executive Order from the President, HSAs are an option for payment too.  


I have a large family.  Is there a discount for enrolling my entire immediate family?

Yes.  The most a family will pay per month for membership is $150.00 no matter the size.  (Family is defined as parents with their children.)  Plus, each family only pays one initial enrollment fee.


Are there any hidden fees?

No.  We will always discuss exact costs for extras such as labs, imaging and medications upfront.  


Do you take patients under the age of 2?

Not at this time.  We feel that during the first two years of life, an infant should be under the care of a pediatrician. 


Do you provide chronic pain management?

No.  Chronic pain management is considered a specialty and will therefore be referred to a pain clinic.

What if I need to Cancel my Membership?

Certainly, our hope is to provide such great care that you never want to leave but we understand that circumstances may change.   If, for any reason, you choose to cancel your membership, we simply request a 30-day written notice.  During that 30 days, you will maintain all benefits with the same level of care.
